yes, just a news update on korean girl bands.
first, for SM Entertainment, girls generation is coming back with their new song, genie/ tell me your wish. Their second comeback this year sure hit a lot of fans as their previous hit "gee" had been hitting the korean music charts for 9 consecutive weeks. the "gee" fever had left many fans learning the dance steps. Known as super junior's counterpart, they have done their job real well. and what's more, they have changed their "cute" style to "pilot sexy style" which made many korean fanboys anticipating their comeback. Their official "genie" MV was released yesterday and more than thousands have been surfing the net to watch it first hand.
And, sooyoung, hyoyeon cut their hair for the comeback. yoona cut her hair for her new drama and tiffany took off her hair extensions.
not only this, they also have their unofficial comeback, with is the CF song for samsung. "hahaha" is the song and they have 2 MVs for it. One is a whilte backgrd and another MV was filmed at korea airport with some specially invited fans. well, i would love to be their invited guest too.
second for JYP entertainment, the wondergirls are back with their english version of nobody. known as "disappeared since 2009", there are back with this english version. anyway, they disappeared because they have been "fighting with JYP in america", and so yeah. nothing special because it have not received much news on them.
opps i forgot something. since their nobody, they have also been fighting it out with SNSD's "gee". because of this "nobody" song, they have won several awards at MKMF 2008. and so, jyp ent is awarded the "best entertainment company in korea in 2008."
and also, they made a CF for a handphone. the song is the remake of fin kl's now, which was a hit in the yr 2000.
third is for YG entertainment. congratz to them for debuting their girl group earlier this month. the girl grp " 2NE1" with the hit song "fire" have different versions of their MV. street version and space version and the other two cannot rmb. the song "fire" had been topping the korea music charts for a few weeks. are they the best rookie group? sr shld i say they would still need to fight it out?
fourth is for DSP entertainment. KARA is making their comeback with "and it is" in mid july. their comeback earlier was "pretty girl" and "honey" which didn't seem to dominate the korean music charts. their company DSP, was definitely known "failure". with wondergirls' nobody and SNSD's gee, their song pretty girl was nothing. And so, you understand what is meant by failure, DSP?
but, they do have their unofficial comeback with the song "same heart" for a drama i think.
fifth is for pledis entertainment, the company famous for son dambi.
anyway, they have their girl group earlier this year, called "after school". they claimed to be the "korean pussycat dolls" which had a sexy image. korean netizens complained of their scantily dressed clothes and they changed them for the subsequent perfs. with the song "AH", fanbase is currently increasing in size.
next comeback was last month, with the song "diva". a sixth member was added and she claimed to be frens with wg's yoobin as they were supposed to debut as a grp in good ent by shinhwa. but due to financial reasons, the grp was split and now, UEE would join after school.
after DIVA, they also had an unofficial comeback, with the remake of dream girlz.
sixth is cube entertainment. ex wondergirl member, hyunah, left due to health reasons and was replaced by yoobin. after two years this month, she is back! she is debuting in a girl grp known as 4 minute. their new song "hot issue" has been a hit recently, you know, when someone is too popular, they would be sure to get "bad comments". yup, they have gotten some "regular" comments like "bad live perf, duno how to dance and sing". anyway, even if they are really like that, i dun care cos i love hyunah just too much. i love her eyes! dolly pretty gal!
